Gauvreau en Haiti

December 2012

Love has a name; JESUS
Love has a place; our hearts.
Love has a story;
And it's not finished yet.

Yesterday, we went to Port-au-Prince with Rita and Marcel, volunteers at GLA. We had lots of fun seeing all the new constructions going on in the town.  We also went to see the parliament building
but it is all gone. (See pictures December 2012) They should begin reconstruction soon.

Tuesday December 11

Yesterday, Marcel and Rita helped Georges decorate the Christmas tree. I was so happy that they were there to help. It was a blessed time for us. It is good to have a couple with whom we are very at ease and can talk a lot with.

Friday, December 28

What a hot day we are having at Fort Jacques, it feels like we are in July.  And at the same time there is a snow storm in Quebec and for once I would like to be there for the Holiday season. May be next year we will be able to be there.

We had our Christmas party and it was a wonderful evening.  Once again, the young people, aged 23 to 35, had a lot of fun and I thought that the older could do the same. (See pictures December 2012)

Christmas day, we had a lunch/supper at the orphanage and we took pictures of the children from 0 to
6 months and the 2 premature babies. They were so cute with their red clothes for the occasion. After, we went to the toddler house (3 to 12 years old). They received their Christmas stockings and it was so funny to see the kids eating their candies and playing with their toys. There was a lot of joy there. (See pictures December 2012)

We had our 3 “adoptive girls” for 2 nights.  We had a lot of fun and they were able to listen to their soap opera on the television.

It is the end of the fiscal year for GLA on December 31. I must make certain that everything in the inventory is up to date. I thought I could rest.

In December, we had a lot of birthday parties for the personnel, including Dixie.

We were very busy for all December.

Monday, December 31

I did almost everything I was supposed to do for the end of the year. After supper, I was
freezing to death and went to bed before 8pm with a lot of blankets, trying to
keep warm. So I was not able to finish my blog in time.

Have a great 2013 year, fill with joy, health and Jesus’ love.

This is the end word:

When Our Hearts Were In Need

To those in sin, God sent us the Savior;
To those in darkness, God sent us the Light;
To those in bondage, God sent us the Deliverer;
To those in defeat, God sent us the Victor;
To those in want, God sent us the Shepherd;
To those in hunger, God sent us the Bread;
To those in pain, God sent us the Physician;
To those in doubt, God sent us the Truth;
To those in confusion, God sent us the Way;
To those in turmoil, God sent us the Prince of Peace;
To all in need, God sent His only begotten Son.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given.” Isaiah 9:6
