As you know, we had elections in Haiti and we have reasons to believe that the results for the presidential have been manipulated.  Here, there are manifestations in every parts of the country.  Many people do not want Jude Celestin, who is the son in law of Rene Preval, as president.  They believe that what he will do will put the country in a worse state and he will fill his pockets.  There will be a recount of the votes and the final results will be announced on December 20. For now, we stay at home and cannot go very far.  Luckily we live a fair distance from the rioting but at the same time we stay on our guards.  God is with us and he told me that He was taking care of us.

I am asking you to pray for peace in Haiti and for the person who will be president.  That God directs that person in the running of the country and that He places the right people to advise him for the advancement of the country.  That there will be a resolution of the problems with the elections and that the person causing these problems be removed by God.

Today, there was a manifestation in front of the house of president Préval. Many people do not want l’Inite (the party of Préval and Celestin). Préval lives at Thomassins 23, the road just before the one for the orphanage at Thomassins 32.  People were burning tires, shooting firearms and yelling loudly. They want Michel Martelly to be part of the second presidential voting in January. We do not know what will happen but we take it one day at a time.  All schools, stores and churches are closed today and probable tomorrow also.

All the flights have been cancelled at the Airport of Port-au-Prince for Wednesday and Thursday. And it might last longer depending of the what will happened.
